Corumbela is situated 49 kilometres from Málaga and 16 kilometres from the coast at Torre del Mar at an altitude of 590 metres. It is a small, typically Spanish village with a population of approximately 300 and is on the scenic Mudéjar Route. The village church of San Pedro has a 14th century tower built in the Mudéjar style and was originally part of a mosque. You can find the sister towers in Archez and Salares.
The village lies in excellent walking country and is perfect for anyone who wants to get away from it all in “real” Spain. It is within easy reach of nearby villages offering tourist facilities and attractions.
The village itself has two shops and a bar offering food but is within easy driving distance of a number of villages with a wider variety of shops, bars and restaurants. These include Archez 5km, Canillas de Albaida 6km and Cómpeta 10km.
